about us
The GMOs were formed with a single mandate -- to write and perform accessible music that people can listen and dance to. A blend of country, rock and blues make GMOs music a little hard to define. But it's easy to enjoy, and even easier to identify as Canadian, owing to strong influences from the likes of Gordon Lightfoot, Neil Young and Blue Rodeo. A mix of tasteful keyboard trills, edgy slide guitar riffs, booming bass, solid rhythms and smooth vocals give the GMOs their flavour.
The GMO set lists include a mix of original material and eclectic covers of songs from the Tragically Hip, Cheap Trick, The Beatles, Hank Williams Sr. and Gordon Lightfoot. Visit this site frequently to see where we're playing next, and hear new song clips. Let us know what you think. We are excited to announce the release of our new EP, "The GMOs," check it out!
We're grateful you stopped by www.gmomusic.com. Thanks to web designers Kyle Maw and Hilary Edmondson for pulling it all together.
